31-year-old crisis intervention worker Ilja Felder fails to support a woman bereaved by the suicide of her son. He doesn't want to admit his weakness to his trainer Nadia or to himself. He is soon travelling alone on his first assignment - a road accident in the middle of a stormy night. When the person who caused the accident turns out to be a suicide, Ilya loses his composure. He painfully realises that he can no longer ignore his behaviour and his past.
