I weave together different identities, talents and occupations:
☯ I live in Munich for 9 years, I studied at the University of Television and Film Munich, I work with German and European TV channels (BR, MDR, ARTE), I get money from the Bavarian film fund (FilmFernsehFonds Bayern), I speak German, I married a German screenwriter, and I enjoy to be part of this country.
☯ I was born and raised in St. Petersburg - that's why I often make movies about Russia, I'm infiltrated by Nabokov and Balabanov, and I will never forget how we protested at the streets at 2011 and how my friends have been imprisoned, as well as how Russia is bombing Ukraine.
☯ I have been directing independent films for 11 years, which have been shown at festivals (Hof International Filmfestival, Short Film Week Regensburg, IFF„Message to man“) and my last film “Last Round” was screened in German cinemas.
☯ I obtained a diploma in theater studies in the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts, which has provided me with a strong understanding of dramaturgy.
☯ I believe that’s why I have been successful in editing feature films for the past two years, including "The Way Back" that won the FirstSteps Award in 2023.
☯ I am happy to use all my film experience in my commercial work: advertising, image-films, interview-projects.
I am a Russian-German director-editor and just a person whose favorite book is “In Search of Lost Time” and the movie “Godland”.
